Mid-Shore Business Establishments
Published April 10th, 2025

This interactive dashboard visualizes key trends in business activity across Maryland’s Mid-Shore region—Caroline, Dorchester, and Talbot counties. Using clear line charts, the dashboard presents two core indicators:

  • Total Business Establishments (2008–present): Explore how the number of business establishments has shifted over time in each county, reflecting broader economic patterns, local developments, and regional resilience.
  • Establishments with 100 or More Workers (2014–present): This chart focuses on larger employers, offering insight into the presence and trends of businesses that support significant numbers of jobs across the Mid-Shore.

Designed for community members, researchers, and decision-makers, this dashboard supports a deeper understanding of the region’s business landscape. The data, sourced from the Maryland Department of Labor, offers a valuable lens into local economic development and workforce trends.  This resource is part of a series of dashboards developed to support the Mid-Shore Online CEDS.
