Tax Revenue Dashboards
This interactive suite of dashboards provides local leaders, policymakers, and economic developers with critical insights into Maryland’s economy using sales tax receipt data. Designed to track revenue trends at the state, regional, and industry levels, these dashboards offer a comprehensive view of fiscal health, consumer activity, and economic shifts over time.
Key features include:
- Total and Monthly Revenue Trends: Analyze annual revenue changes, identify high- and low-performing months, and compare year-over-year performance.
- Regional and Industry Breakdown: Filter data to explore specific regions or sectors, gaining granular insights into economic activity.
- COVID-19 Impact Analysis: Assess how the pandemic and related stimulus efforts influenced sales tax revenue, with visualizations showing correlations between case counts and economic performance.
Developed as part of the Eastern Shore Economic Resiliency Toolkit, this dashboard is a collaborative effort between the Economic Development Administration (EDA), Mid-Shore Regional Council (MSRC), Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland (TCCLES), multiple county governments, the Eastern Shore Regional GIS Cooperative (ESRGC), and regional workforce organizations.
