This interactive dashboard provides a focused snapshot of housing market activity and ownership patterns across Maryland’s Mid-Shore counties—Caroline, Dorchester, and Talbot—using 2023 data. It allows users to compare housing units sold and homeownership rates side by side for a clearer understanding of regional housing dynamics.


The donut chart on the left shows the number of housing units sold in 2023 by county. Dorchester led the region with 545 sales, followed by Talbot with 505, and Caroline with 303. These figures provide insight into market demand and local transaction volume.

The bar chart on the right displays the homeownership rate by county. Caroline had the highest rate at 73.23%, closely followed by Talbot at 72.37%, while Dorchester had a lower rate of 64.48%, indicating a higher share of renters relative to homeowners in that county.

This dashboard is a valuable tool for economic developers, housing planners, and community leaders interested in real estate activitytenure composition, and market performance in the Mid-Shore region. Its clean layout and intuitive design enable quick comparisons and data-driven decision-making.
